The Milwaukee Fair Housing Marches-First Hand Perspective

The Princeton Public Library is currently displaying the Wisconsin Historical Society's Traveling Exhibit-Crossing the Line: The Milwaukee Fair Housing Marches of 1967-1968. This 8 panel display commemorates 50 years since this civil rights movement in our state's capital and the trials of race relations that still reverberate. To put this historical event more into context, the library has invited Bob Hanson to come and speak and answer questions. Hanson participated in 100 marches detailed in this exhibit and will be speaking about his own experience living and advocating in Milwaukee at this time.
