SRP: Water Critter Science for Kids

This program is part of our Summer Reading Program, "An Ocean of Possibilities." (Click HERE for more info.)
There is no charge to attend.

Derek Kavanaugh of the Green Lake Conservation Department Presents:

Water Critters! (for children ages 6 and above)

Did you know that there are thousands of tiny creatures living in our oceans, lakes and rivers?
Mr. Kavanaugh will teach us about why these critters are so important to life in the water, even for the biggest fish.
Kids will get to be scientists for a day and help sort live invertebrates in tubs of water, from microscopic critters to large and crabby crayfish!

We know that for young children, attention spans wander. In our backyard, we will also have outdoor games: jumbo checkers, giant Jenga, ladder toss, and bowling.
