The day after Thanksgiving, Friday, December 25 is "Christmas in Princeton," a city-wide celebration of the winter holidays. It's the kick-off for the Library Friends’ holiday cash & carry and silent auction fundraisers. Your donations of new and gently used items will be gratefully accepted whenever the library is open. And the shopping for great holiday gifts and more begins Friday, November 25. The silent auction wraps up during the Friends Cookie Walk on Saturday, December 10. Be sure to mark your calendar for this much loved and delicious event! But back to Christmas in Princeton: We’ll offer a children’s crafts session, 2 – 3. That will be followed by a visit from 3 – 4 by Clifford the Big Red Dog. Clifford is a much-loved children’s picture book character and you’ll want to bring your cameras! Clifford, who will also be in the evening parade, is brought to Princeton by Norb and Dawn Wianecki and American Family Insurance. Be sure to watch for the Library Friends in that parade. Once again, they’ll be handing out gently used books to folks along the route! The library will stay open until after the parade and tree lighting, as a comfort station and warming house.
