Library Legislative Day
The Wisconsin Library Association (WLA) hosts an annual opportunity for library partners to meet with their elected constituents in Madison. This year’s Library Legislative Day is Tuesday, February 5. WLA has put together an informative program, including the keynote address by State Superintendent of Public Instruction Tony Evers; legislative briefing and tips for successful advocacy; commentary by Mark Brickman, Policy Advisor on Financial Institutions and Education Reform for Governor Scott Walker; and remarks by Eric Genrich, a former Brown County Public Library staff member and newly elected state representative. This program will be followed by appointments with state senators and representatives. Please contact the library if you would like more information about this chance to advocate for Wisconsin’s wonderful libraries. We've got carpooling options and will handle registration.
