We welcome any 2-4 year olds and their caregivers to Storytime. Read a couple books, learn some rhymes, do a craft, and have a snack. Your child will love Grandma Helene, a retired school teacher, who volunteers her time to lead the group. Great not only for developing necessary school skills, like reading and writing, but we encourage you to let your child make friends with the other participants.
We will be showing a recent film, which premiered earlier this summer at the South by Southwest Film Festival. The story stars Kate and Luke co-owners of a craft brewery in Chicago and who wrestle with their romantic feelings for each other and their significant others throughout the film. The film relies almost entirely on improv and as a result, the characters are conveyed with ease and realism. Time Out writes, “The film’s quartet of post-slackers are captured as they feel their way around the edges of what they want (and are afraid to ask for) with painful accuracy.” The film is rated R and is 90 minutes long.
