Christmas Vacation Fun: Tuesday, December 27 - Friday, December 30

Looking for something for your children to do during Christmas vacation?  In addition to offering plenty of books and movies to enjoy during this extra free time, the library has added some afternoon programs for families with preschoolers and school age children.  Stop by Tuesday, December 27, from 1 – 3 to get busy at a table full of supplies perfect for a fun thank you note writing session.  On Wednesday, December 28, Vickie Wielgsoh will be on deck from  1 – 3 to tell everyone about the library’s commemorative mug design contest.  Anyone from 4 to 104 is invited

Hometown Holidays & the Library Friends Cookie Walk & Fundraisers

Princeton's Hometown Holidays was celebrated Saturday, December 10.  The Library Friends took part in this tradition-rich event with their annual cookie walk.  For those of you sadly unfamiliar with this delicious fundraiser, a cookie walk is an opportunity to lay in a supply of homemade goodies that will keep even the hungriest of cookie monsters very happy—without messing up your kitchen!  This year’s cookie walk was held at the Bull Moose Mercantile at 514 West Water Street from 10 – 3.  Saturday was  the official kick-off for the 2012 L

Christmas in Princeton

The day after Thanksgiving, Friday, December 25 is "Christmas in Princeton," a city-wide celebration of the winter holidays.  It's the kick-off for the Library Friends’ holiday cash & carry and silent auction fundraisers.  Your donations of new and gently used items will be gratefully accepted whenever the library is open.  And the shopping for great holiday gifts and more begins Friday, November 25.  The silent auction wraps up during the Friends Cookie Walk on Saturday, December 10.  Be sure to mark your calendar for this much loved and delicious event!
